Bikalpa Art Center is happy is host Larry T Hill and organize a workshop about live looping. This workshop will not just teach abut also lead to a final performance on Friday, 17th August 2018. Live Looping uses a piece of equipment (or an app) to record layers of sound which repeat and allow one person to create the aural effect of a band, live and on the spot.
In this in-depth workshop Larry starts from the fundamentals of looping and making sounds right through to composition and live performance. Over three afternoons at BAC we’ll also cover which gear is right for you and show you how to get started just like he did – with an app.

About Larry T Hill
Larry has been striking strangers with his brand of hilarious hip hop since 2012 – when he abandoned the drum kit and began uploading music onto Soundcloud using an alias. Then, armed with only his voice and a looping pedal, he ventured onto a festival stage in the Australian desert where he crafted cheeky musical tales that would make you swear Steve Irwin and Bobby McFerrin had a love child.
After supporting monster acts like Mark Ronson, Hiatus Kaiyote and Tom Thum, and touring South East Asia, Sri Lanka and Australia, he is now gearing up to unleash his new record: Diasperado.
