The Second South.
The Second South is an experiment and exploration in theatrical expression for Chinese poet Zhang YueYuan. This short play, written and directed by YueYuan during her residency at Bikalpa, was inspired by her time in Nepal, as well as the Poetry of W. H. Auden and Jorge Luis Borges. Music and video by Travers Nash.
Sparks
Sparks is an interactive installation by Australian artist Travers Nash. The artwork will allow two visitors at a time to participate in a technologically mediated sound performance. The installation was constructed from materials gathered in Kathmandu during a residency at Bikalpa. The visitors body will literally complete the work, with the electricity from skin contact allowing the sound to be created.
