| On 17, Jul 2013

The Film screening is an effort of the executives of the center to promote the non commercial movies and other related elements to a genuine mass of people through the medium of BAC. The main idea of the screening is to display the movies related to mainly art, social issues in order to create a serious impact among the participants and sensitize them about the issues concerned that are reflected from the films and documentaries.

Film screening is done on regular basis once a week every Friday evening that you may follow from our facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/bikalpaartcenter

  1. Hi there:
My friend and co-producer Miranda Morton Yap suggested I contact you regarding your documentary screenings. Our film “Talking to the Air” about the people and horse culture of Mustang premiered at KIMFF in 2014 and since I (the director) am coming out to Kathmandu to work on some other projects I wondered if you would be interested in screening the film at one of your weekly events. The film features interviews with the ancient families and leaders of Mustang as well as scholars and the horsemen of Mustang. For a society on the brink of change, the film was a way of both celebrating and preserving an aspect of Nepali culture which is little known outside of the region. More information about the film can be found at : http://www.rareequinetrust.com/talkingtotheair

I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I will be in Kathmandu from February 27th to April 4th.

    Best wishes,

    Sophie Pegrum
