“…art educates people… but it also changes people’s behaviors” Introducing Mr. Romel Bhattarai, a Kathmandu-based graffiti artist and entrepreneur who runs Art Lab and Gallery Vidroh is one of the prominent names in the local urban art scene today. Their unique art style portrays the street as a canvas where the arts are seen as a form of expression. As a youngster, Romel studied in India and was consistently drawn towards art and saw art as an escape from the world to find his peace. Later he came back to Nepal and decided to establish his Art Lab in 2010. He has been actively working on different local as well as international art projects then and again. We are excited to have him as a participating artist and a collaborator for our upcoming exhibition “ Revisiting the Roots in a Modern Nuance”.
